Balboa 3 kW slave heater

This 3kW Balboa "slave" heater is designed for bigger spas needing more heating power than a standard Balboa control system can provide. Together with the power of the main control system (to which it must be connected), it gives a total heating power of 6kW.

This heater is compatible with the vast majority of Balboa control systems, including the GS, GL and BP series. It comes equipped with a 120 cm cable with spade connectors to connect the heater to the main control system. If your main control system is manufactured by Balboa, then you can usually just slide the connectors onto connectors J100 and J101 (GS or GL systems) or J48 and J49 (BP systems), next to the terminals of the main heater. You can also adapt this heater for most other types of control systems, as long as you know how to make safe electrical connections. As always, consult an electrician in case of doubt.

Like other Balboa systems, this one is delivered without a cable gland for the main electrical connection. We strongly advise you to purchase one separately, if you don't already have one.

Connection
The heater is supplied with its two 2" connections and gaskets. If you are replacing your heater, be sure if needed to add the union sockets for 2" pipes. Union sockets for 1.5" pipes are also available.
